We’re preparing to file our utility patent on our priority provisional application. Last August I wrote about the emotional roller coaster I rode in filing the provisional patent—focusing on how much I had learned, and how the process made our product concept even better and stronger.
While again it felt daunting to go back to the patent databases, again we came out of the process with a stronger view of our product and exactly how our IP is a big step up from previous approaches in the field.
Our application is stronger.
Our IP strategy is clearer.
Our product is more extendable than previously appreciated.
And… my mind is completely fried from reading patent language all day. It really is it’s own language.
