Testimonials

We're grateful for our customers and learn from them!

Customers tell us that Xander Glasses are transforming their lives by restoring their confidence in understanding verbal communication. From 2021 through 2023, people with all degrees of hearing loss tested prototypes of XanderGlasses. Thanks to our collaboration with the VHA, we tested prototypes with Veterans with severe to profound hearing loss for over two years. We received valuable feedback from these beta users and their audiologists. Their feedback shaped the design and features of our glasses.

We sold the first pair of XanderGlasses in November 2023, and our customers continue to inspire us every day.

“The simple task of putting the glasses on changed my quality of life instantly. When I was in a group setting and people were talking that I would just kind of fade to black because I wasn't getting what the conversation was. I wasn't even understanding what the topic was. So I’d start off into my own mind. But wearing the glasses it’s like, ‘Wow I'm here.’”

“I lost my hearing around 5 years ago, but thanks to Xander glasses I can communicate the only way my family knows how. They speak several languages, mainly English, and now that we can talk without having to worry about a phone in hand. It’s been so helpful.”

“We purchased these amazing glasses for my mom and they have been life changing. The quality of life that she had been missing, removing herself from family events and social events, now she can be herself again and participate in these meaningful relationships. My dad was always the one who had to listen and tell her what was going on. . .  She was now able [with the glasses] to read the conversations and take part. She was able to embrace her independence and enjoy activities.”

“We had stopped communicating. We couldn't talk to each other because he couldn't hear what I was saying. He would ask, ‘what did you say, what did you say?’ and then I would repeat it and then it got to the point where [I’d say] ‘just forget it, just forget it.’ But when he got the glasses and he's wearing them, it's like we’re back—we can communicate, without the pause, you know the quality of life did like a complete 180.”

“I recently had a Doctor's routine appointment and what a relief it was to be able to communicate with him using the glasses. In the past I would have to ask him to repeat what he was saying many times and I always feared I might be missing something. The XanderGlasses performed perfectly. I am looking forward to a family reunion in Virginia in a couple of weeks where I can finally have meaningful conversations with all of my relatives.”

“My hearing problem has been devastating to me, hearing aids give me the  ability to hear sounds and recognize some voices but hardly ever able to understand the words. . . I have been declining invitations for dinner dates and any social event that involved many people . . . I had quit going anyplace with my wife and really felt like my life was over. But since I have received these voice to text eyeglasses I feel better about socializing with people because now I can understand a lot about what is going on at the event by being able to see some of the conversation which makes me feel like I am alive and not just a pebble sitting on a chair at the table. I can even join in with some of the conversation now.”

"My default’s always been lip reading—I've had hearing loss since I was a kid. I met with Alex yesterday for approximately a half hour using his new "glasses." I was completely blown away. As I got in my car and drove away, I realized, for the first time in a long while, that my energy after having a conversation had returned and that glow kept me going the rest of the afternoon and into the evening."

“This is something that I wish I had way back when. I'm happy because there are no major obstructions. I can still see outside of the caption box. So it's perfect for me. I love it. I absolutely love it."

“This is awesome, being able to see what you're saying and the person that’s in front of you. It's sometimes challenging to understand what people are saying, especially, when we had the masks. This is awesome.”

“I have a program on my phone and I have a remote that I can lay on the table, but then you can't look at people and talk to them because you're constantly looking at the phone. And normally I get to talk to people about 10 minutes after the conversation they were talking about, and I always feel like I'm crazy because I entered the conversation 15 minutes late. So. I love these glasses.”

“I can't say enough about this. I love this. It’s fast. It is faster than the capturing phone. . .  I mean, it's something that people don't understand. We live in a fast-paced world and nobody’s got time for hooking things up every time you talk. That's just the way it is. But this is amazing. That's some kind of technology. I love this. I really love this.”

"It’s really cool. This is, I think, every hard of hearing person’s dream—to be able to see what’s being said in real time. It’s awesome."
